Loading ...Just a few weeks ago, I voiced my displeasure with the fact that Orlando Magic shooting guard J.J. Redick was left out of the 2013 Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, which he has deserved to be in for several years. As such, I have decided that it's never too early to start campaigning for next year's contest. However, I'll need the help of each and every Magic 101 reader, along with all of our family, friends, fellow Magic fans and everybody else we can get to join us in order to make this happen.
What I have in mind is that no more than once a day, but at least once a week, I am going to tweet and/or post a Facebook status that reads as follows: "J.J. Redick deserves to be in the 2014 Foot Locker Three-Point Contest. Give him a shot! #RedickForThreeIn2014"
If you have any ideas as to how we can further give Redick the recognition that he so richly deserves and get him a spot in next year's Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, tweet us as Magic 101, post on our Facebook page or shoot me an email at [email protected]
“I’ve wanted to do it every year,” Redick said recently during a Google+ Hangout. “But I haven’t been invited yet.”
It's time to give him that opportunity.
