The Orlando Magic and Dallas Mavericks dropped close games on Friday, with the Magic losing 106-100 to the Charlotte Bobcats and the Mavericks falling 117-114 to the Oklahoma City Thunder in overtime. As a result, both teams will look to get back in the win column when Dallas visits the Magic on Sunday at the Amway Center.
O.J. Mayo is leading Dallas (17-24) at 18.2 points per game, while Dirk Nowitzki is averaging 14.0 PPG to go with 5.5 rebounds per game. Darren Collison is tallying 13.0 PPG and 5.1 assists per game, Chris Kaman is scoring 12.6 PPG and pulling down 6.3 RPG, Vince Carter is notching 12.3 PPG and Shawn Marion is recording 10.4 PPG and 8.1 RPG.
The Magic (14-25) are getting 17.5 PPG from Arron Afflalo, 15.3 PPG and 7.6 RPG from Glen Davis and 15.2 PPG and 7.2 APG from Jameer Nelson. J.J. Redick is averaging 14.6 PPG and Nikola Vucevic is totaling 11.6 PPG and 11.1 APG.
"Because of the position we're in right now, we can't allow these kind of games where we can come out with a big win like two days ago and then tonight we play with no energy," Vucevic said following Friday's defeat. "So we can't have that, we have to play hard every night."
Sunday's contest is slated to tip-off at 6:00 pm on FS Florida.
