Earlier this month, the Brooklyn Nets swept a home-and-home series with the Orlando Magic, handing the Magic their third and fourth losses of the season. On Friday, Orlando welcomes the Nets back to the Amway Center as it attempts to put an end to its two-game slide in the final game of a season-long five-game homestand.
The Nets (10-4) are coming off a 95-83 win over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday in a game that saw Joe Johnson register 18 points and six assists and Andray Blatche and Jerry Stackhouse finish with 17 points apiece, with Blatche also pulling down 13 rebounds. C.J. Watson also totaled double figures in points, notching 13.
The Magic (5-9) suffered a 21-point defeat at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. Arron Afflalo led Orlando with 16 points, while Jameer Nelson (14), Glen Davis (12), and E’Twaun Moore (11) also finished in double digits.
“This is all learning for us because we have a lot of new guys and second-year players,” Nelson said. “Every time we step on the court there’s going to be learning and every time we step in a film session there’s learning. We just have to translate this to the game situations.”
Friday’s game is set for a 7:00 pm start on FS Florida.
